Monday Morning

11am to 2:15pm A relaxed friendly session to gain more experience.  Only Junior Systems are allowed.  Around 26 boards are played.  There is a lunch break - order lunch on arrival or BYO. Please be seated 10 minutes before commencement. With the genoristy of members volunteering for our standby programme, there is no requirement for you to have a partner. CalendarResults.

Monday Evening

7pm to  9:30pm A relaxed friendly session for inexperienced players.  Monday evenings are for beginner players.  A short lesson at 7pm and  supervised play of around 12 boards starts at 7:30pm.  You do not need a partner.  Please be seated 10 minutes before commencement.  Calendar.  Results.

Tuesday ** Afternoon

11am to 2pm

Improvers session for beginner players – fewer boards with more teaching and a lesson precedes play. No partner is required. Please be seated 10 minutes before commencement. CalendarResults.

One section - everyone is welcome

7:15pm to 10:15pm About 26 boards are played in each. If a Team event is running you will need to attend each session of the event to play.  Please be seated 10 minutes before commencement.   CalendarResults.

7:15pm to 10:15pm For junior and intermediate players.  There is a 25 minute informal discussion on a selected range of topics.  About 24 boards are played, Junior and Intermediate Systems only.  You do not need a partner.  The bar is open at the end of play.  Please be seated 10 minutes before commencement.  CalendarResults.

Thursday Morning

You do not need a partner

9:30am to 12pm Intended as a relaxed friendly session for inexperienced players.  A lesson precedes supervised play of about 15 boards.  Junior Systems only.  You do not need a partner.  Please be seated 10 minutes before commencement.  CalendarResults.

Interclub - running online in 2024 Teams pre-organised by clubs in the Auckland region.  Monthly on Fridays starting at 7:15pm. $9 a time.  Refer to the calendar for dates.  Calendar.  Results.

Learn to Play Bridge Courses 2024

15-week course:

Monday evenings starting 4th March. Course starts are subject to numbers.

A club session charge for members is $9 (debited automatically from your HelloClub Account)

The charge for visitors is $11 per session at the club.

Complimentary Tea and coffee.  A cash Bar is open when indicated.

You do not need a partner for some sessions. 

Beginners who have just graduated from lessons will find the Monday night and Thursday morning sessions most suitable.  Once you are ready for a little more challenge, you could try Monday Morning   

For events that are labelled as Teams events or Swiss Pairs (see WHAT'S ON) you generally need to pre-enter and attend each session of the event (or organise a substitute) - you cannot play for just one session of the event as you can with pairs events.

Systems and System Cards.  NZ Bridge has a guide to what comprises Junior and Intermediate systems.  Use of System Cards is encouraged - a template can be found here.

All regular club events award NZ Bridge Master Points explained here. 40C points are awarded first place, and other postions on a sliding scale.
