Hal McCowan was the main instigator of our move from Airdale Street to 273 Remuera Road. It was a great leap of faith as many members were against the move. It proved to be a very sound decision. Hal was always very vocal at the AGM and whilst some of his opinions were not always popular they were always worth considering. Joan McCowan was married to Hal McCowan.
