Another successful tournament day on Saturday 9 February. The event was sponsored by Sibuns Funeral Directors and Advisors. Kaye Shannon represented Sibuns, she was at the club to see the last of the last hands played and present the prizes.
The 2019 Waitangi Day 8B tournament was very well supported and enjoyed by the 56 pairs who entered. At the end of the tournament Ex club president and current Chair of NZ Bridge Alan awarded the tourament prizes.
The Waitangi Day 8B Pairs will be played on Wednesday 6 February. The winners will be awarded the. Colbeck America's Cup Trophy.
Please note that we award the trophy to the tournament winner but if they are not a member of the Auckland Bridge Club they can only be photographed with the trophy but not take it from the club.
Auckland Northern Region runs the region interclub competition. There are ten nights to the competition (March through to November) , starting on Friday 8 March. Open, Intermediate and Junior Grades, put your team together and notify your club.
The Auckland Bridge Club Tournament year started with the Babich Holiday 5A Pairs held over three nights - 3,4 and 5 January. Congratulations to all our winners including the Best Intermediate Pair - Sandra Pearce and Takayo Yanagisawa (not photographed).

Thursday 15 November is the final Thursday 8B tournament. It is sponsored by Rawhite Estate Retirement Village. At the end of this tournament the Colbeck Points Cup will be awarded based on finishing positions over the 2018 competition.
The AGM is scheduled for Sunday 4 November at 11am. Traditionally the AGM is a relatively short meeting and is followed by a shared lunch and a session of bridge. See Agenda below. The 2018 Annual Accounts have been posted on the Membership page under Annual Accounts.
The orange cones are out in Armadale Road so there is NO STREET PARKING. Work on the bridge club side of the road is expected to start around the 10th of October.
